What a wonderful photo this is!

I hope you don't mind if I say that it's atypical of the shots on your blog. I've been following your blog ever since you posted that 'bar code' abandoned fatory one http://x-rayeyes.aminus3.com/portfolio/21.html which is one of my favourite photos from anybody, but this mountain view is very unlike your usual subjects.

Is there a story behind it?

To Ian: it's an older photo, taken summer 2005 in New Mexico during a National Geographic digital photography workshop. I've recently been experimenting converting some older shots to black and white with photoshop, and I liked how this one turned out. Much more striking than the color version.
